The day started off like a dream. I took my Canon down to the ridge and captured the beautiful and rare-seen fog. Everything felt so calm and mysterious; I didn't realize such beauty existed just 5 minutes away from home. Now that I'm back, I can finally do the things that I'm passionate about but couldn't because of school. It feels so good to be back at home. :)

Goodbye Year One

At last...I have almost made it to the end of First Year. Top five things I have learnt:

1. Cramming will come back and kick you hard in the ass
2. You don't always need to drink to have a good time in uni
3. Surround yourself with positive, open-minded and free spirited people
4. Get a good habit of eating, sleeping and exercising.
5. Be yourself and explore your own interests(regardless of what people think. It ain't your problem)

I just recently bought this book and boy do I love it! It's a style guide by France's own icon of chic that is composed of beautiful photographs, her personal tips for style and beauty, and pointers on how to dress like a parisian. It also includes a guide to hotels, boutiques, shops and restaurants. We all know that Parisians are incredibly stylish. They just know how to put together the most basic pieces to have a show-stopping effect on their audience. So why not steal some of their timeless fashion and their abilities to always look perfect? For all of you who will soon embark on a journey to my personally favourite city in the world, this book is highly recommended. Bon voyage!
